"I'm fine" she smiled. "But it almost kicked me in the head." She sat down near the deer, trying to catch her breath.

A worried expression crossed Slade's face when she told him she had almost been kicked. He licked her cheek and sat down as well. His breathing wasn't quite regular yet. He exhaled deeply and looked at their catch. He was almost too tired to take a chunk of deer and swallow it... almost.  "Are you alright Cloud ?" he asked around his mouthful of deer. |
