His haunting amber eyes scanned the lay of the forest, identifying anything he deemed significant or worth addressing. dropping his muzzle to the leaf matter, the warrior inhaled deeply. Amidst the old and fresh scent of the forest, Kinugu could almost taste the odor of other wolves. Some fairly recent and some, maybe days... even weeks old. He raised his head, ears canted as he adjusted his footing briefly.
He was not even three feet from the border of the 'old meeting place' as the wolves around these parts seemed to call it. As far as he was concerned, it was just another section of land with a title. He couldn't care less about 'ancestors' or any such thing. Kinugu watched in silence as a small and mangy little hare made it's way tentatively through some shrubbery, clearly unaware of the formidable presence that was Kinugu's. Luckily for the small creature though, this ferocious beast was not at all hungry. It paused to chew on some fresh shoots of grass. Kinugu sighed.
