Boulder River

[Kelsey]

This is a small part of Boulder River that cuts through Rosewood Pack's territory. There's lots of prey here that come to drink water.

[Damita]

Damita wandered down to the small river, hoping to find something to eat.
Then she heard rustling in a near by bush, Damita stood there waiting for a fight if necessary.
She stepped backwards into the undergrowth as she stealthily walked around to see what was making the rustling in the bush.

[scarlett]

"Ha!" Kestrel yelled. He smirked as Damita yelped and jumped into the river. "Sorry, I couldnt resist scaring you." He liked to tease Damita. She always managed to get him out of his brooding moods. "You looked like you were ready to fight the mysterious bush monster" he laughed.

[Damita]

Damita laughed back.
"Well you can expect anything to jump out at you around these parts, i think." Damita said in a calming voice.
"Where have you been all day?" She asked, frowning.

[scarlett]

"I've been patrolling the borders. I think something bad is going on...." Kestrel was slightly worried. The wind had blown strange scents of wolves he had never known. "I think that we should keep an eye out for danger." He didnt want Damita to get hurt. Changing the mood to something more carefree, he asked "So what did you do today?" with a smirk.

[Damita]

"Yikes, that doesn't sound to pleasing" says Damita.
"and i am more than happy to keep a watch."
"I haven't been doing much, other than looking out for a bit to eat" Damita said again. "I wonder what is going on, I do hope that it is nothing to worry about." Then Damita gave Kestrel a smirk and asked "Do you know where the best food spots are? Because I try to find some but never suceed" Then Damita Snickered to herself.

[scarlett]

"Oh yeah, there are loads of places. I can even show you one of my secret spots" he said with a grin. "Come on." He lead her past the river to a small meadow. There was a small creek bubbling through the tall green grass. Wildflowers peppered the ground and filled the air with their fresh, flowery scent.
"I love coming here" Kestrel said softly. "I come here to think a lot." He shook his head to clear away the bad thoughts. "Theres lots of fish in the creek over there. If you're up for a wild hunt, theres tons of rabbit. But best of all "he said proudly, "are the herds of deer that come almost daily. I would know because I like to spy." he grinned crookedly. "So what are you up for?"

[Damita]

"Why thank you Kestrel." Damita said with a smile, as she looked around."Its.. Its beautiful." she said as Kestrel and herself walked through the grass. "Whats your favorite thing to eat ?" She asked. "Because I will have what you having, If your having anything." Damita said keenly with the thought in her mind.

[scarlett]

"Hmmm, its a hard choice "Kestrel said while smiling. "All sound very intriguing at the moment but I feel that I need a good chase. Perhaps a rabbit?" He smiled mockingly at her.

[Damita]

Damita laughed "Ha ha ha"
" I rabbit sounds good! I can't remember the last time I've had one!" She said. Damita remembered she had had one only yesterday. Damita laughed to herself with the thought.
" Ha ha ha ha."

[scarlett]

"The trick is to stay very quiet and not to rustle the grass." He crouched down slightly and lifted his head in the air, trying to get the scent of any rabbit nearby. There was a burrow a couple paces to his left and he stalked towards it. A rabbit was sitting and munching on some clover. "Gotcha" he said and lunged. The rabbit ran and Kestrel chased after it. The rabbit swerved left and right, trying to get away. He was close enough to grab it with his teeth when he lost his footing and fell. He tumbled head over heels on a slight hill. He rolled to a stop and got up. His pelt was covered with grass and leaves. He was a little dizzy but nothing else.
"Darn it" he said laughed. "I was so close to getting it too."

[Damita]

Damita watched as if she was drinking Kestrels movements, and then laughed at his mistake. and said proudly " You did good but its my turn!" She waited as Kestrel came back in a puff, took a breath, then crouched down at the same hight as the grass maybe even lower. Damita snuck around the 2nd burrow close by and waited for a minute or 2, finally. She had heard some rabbits in the burrow comunicating with each other then a rabbit popped its head out and with its head its body, with a quick movement Damita grabbed the rabbit it started squealing and then she snapped its neck. Damita picked it up and walked past Kestrel with a fancy tip toe and then sat down took a bite and added "This is the life, Don't you think?" Then Damita gave Kestrel a smile. And asked "what should we do next?" then laughed.

[scarlett]

"Oh thats hard to say" Kestrel said. "I feel like laying around and doing nothing. Forget being alpha, I want to see what its like to be a commoner like the rest of you" he laughed. He layed on his back and sighed as the sun warmed his belly.

[Damita]

" Well we could go and spy on some deer or serch for other wolves to play with." Damita added.
" We could go for a walk and find something to do "
she added again "Everything is just waiting for us to discover it.."
and then Damita lay down next to Kestrel and said " Or we could just sit here and do nothing " And then grinned.

[scarlett]

Kestrel opened his eyes slightly. "Yeah, I guess we could walk around. Theres still lots of territory to be found surprisingly." The pack had never been large enough so that every corner of the territory could be explored. He stretched once more, and got up, groaning while doing it. "Alright, lets go."
